Digital Campaigns

I have developed, designed, and implemented a number of digital campaigns geared towards a variety of audiences and comprehension levels. Under USAID-funded projects with the U.N. Migration Agency, I developed several campaigns including:

  • An SMS campaign providing disaster risk reduction information and resources to communities in Haiti that had been affected by earthquakes or storms, including content in Haitian Creole;
  • Social media ads on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram highlighting the ways diaspora communities and grassroots organizations are fighting the localized effects of climate change in the Pacific Islands and in Somalia;
  • Radio spots on a national service directed towards Filipino American communities to share typhoon best practices and government resources with loved ones in the Philippines;
  • And other miscellaneous campaigns promoting sustainable humanitarian assistance and development practices.

In conjunction with the Data for Good team at Meta, I created campaigns highlighting the impact of safe shelters on women and girls in the Philippines. These campaigns tested the effectiveness of testimonials versus data in transferring safe shelters knowledge from Filipino diaspora communities in the U.S. to areas in the Philippines affected by natural disasters. The campaigns reached over 10 million users and resulted in a positive brand lift demonstrating the power of testimonials and storytelling, even in short formats.
