Photography

I have worked professionally as a photographer and photo editor since 2011, when I volunteered as an Assistant Photography Editor for the campus artistic magazine (Atlantis) at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. During this time I also supported miscellaneous event and local photography through the United Nations Association.

Between 2014-2015, I worked as Photography Editor for a regional magazine (Jutland Station) in Aarhus, Denmark. I was responsible for sourcing and editing all photos for the magazine, website and socials, including managing a group of freelance photographers and their assignments.

From 2015-2020, I freelanced as a multimedia journalist. My photography was published on various platforms including GigSoup (UK), Yorokubo (Spain), and Pear Video (China).

I leaned heavily on my photography skills while working as a Communications Coordinator for Partners in Development Foundation between 2018 and 2020. Select images of mine were published in local reporting for the Foundation, including KITV-4, Hawaii Tribune-Herald, and West Hawaii Today.

I most recently worked in media and communications for the United Nations Migration Agency (IOM), supporting projects focused on humanitarian assistance. My photography work has primarily centered on Washington, DC-based events and other project activities in Switzerland, Canada, and Kenya.

I enjoy travel and nature photography in my spare time.
